Shimul Saha is a Dhaka-based artist, working in a range of media, including installation, video, sound and drawings. He received his BFA in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University, and later completed an MFA at Beaconhouse National University, Lahore. He works with found objects, video, illustration, acrylic sheets, light, and digital manipulation amongst others. His artistic practice is rooted in experimentation, investigation, and research. His works explore themes of psychology, social constructions (such as gender roles), lucid dreams, and existential moments. His works have been exhibited both in Bangladesh, and internationally.
