Andrea Stultiens does things with photographs: she takes them, collects them, researches them, writes about them and often publishes and exhibits them for others to see, all in an effort to understand the varied ways in which photography and historiography are connected. Most of Stultiens’ work is focused in and around Uganda, and in that vein, together with Rumanzi Canon, she initiated the platform. She is now putting forth a book and exhibition series titled Ebifananyi, which is based on her HIPUganda work as well as the PhD degree she is pursuing at the Leiden University, Netherlands.
